Assured Highway Solutions are always looking for competent and reliable people to join our team of existing operatives. The company has continued to grow at a steady rate since it's inception and we can offer a both full time contracts of employment and part time contracts which are demand driven and provide ad-hoc work. The company operates 24/7 and so there is plenty of scope for day and night working, including weekends.

Currently we have the following vacancies:

Traffic Management Operative (Level 1)

Purpose of the job :

To undertake the safe setup, maintenance and removal of traffic management equipment in accordance with current legislation to the clients specifications.

Job Role :

The fundamental requirements of the role are to:

• Undertake daily basic vehicle and equipment checks;

• Drive Assured Highway Solutions vehicles to site;

• Assist in the deployment of the equipment (primarily road cones, signs, sign frames and lamps);

• Liaising with on site supervisors, contractors and enforcing authorities as required;

• Promote and develop a good working relationship with our clients;

Knowledge, Skills, Experience :

The preferred candidate would have some or all of the following:

• At least 12 months experience of working on highways;

• Basic understanding of the various types of work undertaken to maintain highways;

• Excellent driving awareness and skills;

• Excellent understanding and compliance of health and safety principles and procedures;

• Good knowledge of local road networks and a sense of direction;

• Ability to read, understand and complete forms, work sheets and instructions;

• Certification in LANTRA 12A & 12B and/or NRSWA Unit 2 Signing Lighting and Guarding would be a significant advantage;

• Experience of liaising with senior managers and supervisors of other contractors;

Location :

Based in Hertfordshire, site works to include anywhere in the northern Home Counties and London .
